Turkey meat is also rich in vitamins like B-6 and B-12, niacin, choline, selenium, and zinc.

Eating turkey will make you feel more satiated for a longer period compared to other meat. However, it also contains acid tryptophan, an amino acid that induces sleep.

2. Pumpkin Pies

Pumpkin pies may contain a significant amount of water-soluble B vitamins, a vitamin known to help the skin. Pumpkins may also helps boost appetite, digestion, and metabolism.

Moreover, the pies are packed with minerals such as phosphorous, calcium, and iron, which benefit the bones and teeth. However, depending on the
preparation, they can be high in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium.

3. Classic Casseroles

Casseroles are so versatile that you can put together any combination of meat and vegetables in any way you want. Like other great Thanksgiving dishes, they are filled with health benefits.

They usually have everyday ingredients, but creative alternatives can be used for a healthier version. Instead of beef, turkey or chicken can be as filling and delicious, and has less fat and cholesterol compared to their red meat counterparts.

Also, don’t forget the healthy stuff like green peas, sweet potatoes, and beans. All are rich in vitamins and minerals that are good for the body.
